Transfer Shocker: Super Striker, Faster Than Mbappe, Declines Chelsea to Finalize £70M Move to Arsenal.

Arsenal have received the go-ahead to sign Benjamin Sesko, despite interest from Chelsea and AC Milan.

The Gunners are targeting a marquee striker this summer and have identified Sesko as a key candidate.

According to a recent BILD report, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Milan are all interested in Sesko, but they must act quickly as his £55 million release clause expires at the end of June.

The Mirror now reports that Arsenal are leading the race to sign the 20-year-old. The former Red Bull Salzburg player has agreed, providing a significant boost for the Gunners.

Sesko would be an excellent acquisition for Arsenal.

Sesko joined Leipzig from Red Bull Salzburg last summer and initially came off the bench due to the presence of Lois Openda and Yussuf Poulsen. However, he became a regular starter under manager Marco Rose after the new year, finishing the season with 18 goals, scoring in each of his last seven matches.

Sesko averaged a goal every 114 minutes for Leipzig, showcasing his clinical finishing ability with a shot-to-goal conversion rate of 30 percent.

His conversion rate surpasses that of Gabriel Jesus, Eddie Nketiah, and Kai Havertz. Havertz, for instance, only converted 19 percent of his shots during his first season at Arsenal.

While Sesko may not be known for his ball-playing skills like Havertz, the Gunners would value his goal-scoring prowess. The Bundesliga has even compared his playing style to Erling Haaland.
