PSG ready to spend €140 million to acquire Arsenal star as ideal replacement for Kylian Mbappe.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is looking to replace their star player, Kylian Mbappe, whose contract is expiring this summer. Reports indicate that PSG is willing to spend £140 million to acquire Arsenal’s winger, Bukayo Saka, as a replacement.

Despite efforts to retain Mbappe, including a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, it seems likely that Mbappe will leave PSG, possibly joining Real Madrid on a free transfer. While neither Mbappe nor Real Madrid have confirmed this, Spanish newspaper Marca suggests that Mbappe has been in regular contact with former Real Madrid player Sergio Ramos and his current PSG teammate Achraf Hakimi about life in Madrid.

In anticipation of Mbappe’s departure, PSG has been bolstering their squad with French talent, signing players like Ousmane Dembele, Randal Kolo Muani, and Nordi Mukiele last summer. The team also includes promising local talents such as Warren Zaire-Emery and Bradley Barcola.

Now, PSG is targeting European stars, with Bukayo Saka identified as their top choice to replace Mbappe. Spanish newspaper Fichajes reports that PSG is prepared to bid at least €140 million for the 22-year-old, potentially making him Arsenal’s most expensive sale ever.

Arsenal, however, is determined to keep Saka, recognizing the difficulty of replacing such a key player. Both the management and fans would prefer Saka to remain at the Emirates and continue contributing under Mikel Arteta’s leadership.

As the summer transfer window approaches, it remains uncertain whether PSG’s significant offer will convince Arsenal to sell their star winger or if Saka will stay in the Premier League.
