Chelsea star Moises Caicedo defied the odds by scoring an outrageous goal from the halfway line against Bournemouth on Sunday.
The Ecuador international opened the scoring at Stamford Bridge when Neto cleared the ball after rushing out of his goal. Caicedo took a touch before launching a sublime shot from behind the halfway line, which sailed into the empty net.
This remarkable goal was Caicedo’s first for Chelsea since his £115 million move from Brighton last summer. It was also the furthest goal scored in a Premier League game since Wayne Rooney’s 57.7-yard strike for Everton in November 2017, with Caicedo’s effort measured at 50.5 yards.
Despite facing criticism this season, Caicedo seems to have found his feet at Chelsea in recent weeks.
