Mikel Arteta could field an ideal Arsenal line-up if Edu manages to secure Brian Brobbey’s transfer this summer.

The Ajax forward scored 22 goals and provided 12 assists in 43 appearances for the Dutch club in the 2023/24 season. The 22-year-old Netherlands international has previously commented on his future and specifically mentioned Arsenal.
He told NOS Jeugdjournaal: “Arsenal, I think that is a very nice club. If you look at that stadium, it is very nice, but the same goes for Manchester United, Barcelona, and Real Madrid. I have a contract until 2027. At the moment, I am just with Ajax.”
If Arsenal pursues their interest, they might face competition from Manchester United, as Brobbey has expressed a desire to play for them. He said: “Manchester United” when asked about his preferred future club.
Brobbey added: “Erik sent me a message to congratulate me and to say he would like to have me in Manchester. But I’m not finished at Ajax yet, I want to show something here first.”
