According to AS, both Chelsea and Arsenal are willing to trigger Williams’ €58 million release clause for a summer transfer.
However, Chelsea’s proposal includes tripling his current salary, offering €15 million per year, a figure Arsenal are reluctant to match as they reconsider their stance.
Williams is one of Europe’s most sought-after talents this summer, with Barcelona and Real Madrid also expressing interest.
His standout performances at Euro 2024, particularly in wins over Croatia, Italy, and Georgia, have boosted his profile.
In the match against former champions Italy, Williams outperformed right-back Giovanni Di Lorenzo and played a key role in creating the winning goal, an own goal by Riccardo Calafiori.
He also scored a stunning goal in the last-16 victory over Georgia.
