Enzo Maresca has made another offer, needing two more strikers: one right winger and a new No. 9, with Victor Osimhen on the radar.
Initially, the Blues made a bid for Osimhen, but Antonio Conte was hesitant to deal and allowed Napoli’s star to sign a new contract last season.
Caughtoffside reports that “new contacts over Osimhen could take place soon,” with Chelsea hoping to offset the cost by including Cesare Casadei and Romelu Lukaku.
Now, with Conte agreeing to sign Lukaku, Chelsea is prepared to offer a deal worth about £27 million.
Enzo Maresca aims to bid a lower price, with Lukaku and Casadei valued at around £60 million combined. This could be an attractive deal for Napoli to accept in exchange for Osimhen.
Our priorities this summer are a right winger and a striker. While we’ve made little progress on these fronts, we’ve secured bargain signings to fill other gaps, leaving a budget for a marquee move up top.
