Chelsea are considering a move for Ademola Lookman as Enzo Maresca seeks to bolster his attacking options this summer. The 26-year-old had an impressive season with Atalanta, highlighted by a hat-trick in the Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen in May. He ended the season with 17 goals and 10 assists in 45 games, catching the eye of several European clubs.

Calciomercato reports that Chelsea are interested and are ready to offer close to the €60 million (£51 million) asking price, even though Lookman joined Atalanta for just €15 million (£12.7 million) less than two years ago.

Lookman’s career includes a loan stint at RB Leipzig, a permanent move there in July, and loan spells at Fulham and Leicester. At Leicester, he made a notable impact with eight goals and five assists in 42 matches before deciding to join Atalanta permanently.

If Chelsea secures Lookman, they would gain a player with significant Premier League experience. Known for his speed and direct play on the left wing, Lookman is adept at scoring and assisting. His addition would bring valuable pace and productivity to Chelsea’s attack.
