Everton Acquires Arsenal Star for £45M; Mikel Arteta Offers £80M for a Striker Superior to Osimhen and Sesko
Arsenal are seeking a new striker this summer as Mikel Arteta aims to build a squad capable of surpassing Manchester City for the Premier League title.
Sources have informed TEAMtalk that a substantial offer has been made for a key striker target, and a notable squad member is close to leaving.
Benjamin Sesko is highly regarded at Arsenal, with an offer on the table that the Gunners believe will persuade him to choose them over their rivals. Sesko is reportedly “impressed” by the project at the Emirates and is considering all his options, including interest from Chelsea.
The 20-year-old, who joined Leipzig last summer, has scored 18 goals in 42 appearances for the German club. His arrival at Arsenal would likely end Eddie Nketiah’s chances of securing a starting position, prompting his departure this summer.
TEAMtalk understands Nketiah is attracting significant interest within the Premier League, particularly from Wolves and Crystal Palace.
However, Fulham is currently leading the race for Eddie Nketiah. Sources confirm Fulham have prioritized Nketiah as a top summer target, with ongoing discussions and an official offer being prepared. Manager Marco Silva wants Nketiah as their starting striker for the upcoming season.
Nketiah, 25, is weighing his options and, despite his strong relationship with Mikel Arteta, acknowledges the need to move on for his career. Arteta has indicated that while he values Nketiah, he will not be the main striker for Arsenal
Everton has also shown interest in Nketiah, but progress is stalled due to the club’s uncertain ownership and potential key player departures.
