BREAKING: Premier League giants join the race to sign Victor Osimhen after Chelsea loses interest in the Napoli star.
Napoli star Victor Osimhen has been linked with another Premier League club after Chelsea reportedly dropped their interest.
In recent seasons, Osimhen has been frequently associated with a move to the Premier League, with clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Manchester City expressing interest. Despite these links, Osimhen has not yet made a move, but with the summer transfer window heating up, the 25-year-old might be on the verge of leaving.
New manager Antonio Conte has left the forward out of his pre-season squad, suggesting that Osimhen’s time at Napoli may be ending.
According to Italian news outlet Di Marzio, Chelsea has reduced their interest in signing the striker, while Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain have now entered the competition. There are also reports that Saudi Arabian clubs are keen to sign Osimhen, but they will face significant challenges in attracting one of Europe’s top players to the Middle East.
The report also states that Osimhen, who reportedly has a £110 million release clause, will wait to see if he is selected for Napoli’s Serie A opener against Modena on August 10. Last month, Conte said, “We are talking about Victor as a professional, an excellent, top player.”
“I spoke with him, and he understands that nothing has changed. He is still a Napoli player, and he knows that anyone at Napoli must work hard and maintain the right attitude, even though there is this agreement whose outcome is still uncertain.”
