Former Aston Villa player Gabby Agbonlahor has expressed confidence that Chelsea will secure a top-four finish next season.
In a discussion on talkSPORT, Agbonlahor stated: “There’s a lot of competition now. I don’t believe Manchester United or Aston Villa will make the top four.”
He added, “Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Newcastle United will all improve next season, and Chelsea and Tottenham will as well.”
Agbonlahor predicts that Manchester City will win the title again, with Arsenal as their closest competitors. He anticipates that if Liverpool adapts well under their new manager, they could finish in third, while he believes Chelsea will show significant improvement, claiming the fourth spot.
Meanwhile, Marc Cucurella’s agent has shared insights about the left-back’s future after Chelsea attempted to sell him last summer.
Cucurella has excelled for Spain in the ongoing Euro 2024 tournament, playing a crucial role in their journey to the final.
Interestingly, Chelsea sought to offload Cucurella to Manchester United last summer, and he was not a key player for the team in the first half of the season.
However, Cucurella has brought his strong form to the Euros, leading to discussions about his future at Stamford Bridge.
Cucurella’s agent, Aleix Pique, has confirmed that the left-back intends to remain at Chelsea, stating, “Cucurella is very comfortable and happy at Chelsea and in London. His plan is to stay at the club. Under normal circumstances, he will continue there.”
