BREAKING: Arsenal has agreed a 5-year deal with Victor Osimhen, set to be paid £300,000 per week. They are negotiating with Napoli, offering €71 million plus Gabriel Jesus, instead of the €130 million release clause.
Nigerian international Victor Osimhen is expected to leave Napoli this summer amid significant global interest. Chelsea has been pursuing Osimhen for over a year, and their interest has renewed following failed attempts to sign Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran and Atletico Madrid’s Samu Omorodion.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Arsenal is also targeting Osimhen. The Gunners have long admired him and might prioritize his signing over Viktor Gyokeres. With Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz as their current forward options, Arsenal is actively searching for a new attacker and could rival Chelsea for Osimhen.
Paris Saint-Germain is another club interested in Osimhen but is currently only prepared to offer €90 million. PSG might need to sell either Goncalo Ramos or Randal Kolo Muani before finalizing a move for Osimhen, which could complicate a transfer to the Parc des Princes.
In terms of a potential swap deal, Chelsea has been informed of Napoli’s updated asking price for Osimhen. While Napoli prefers the full €130 million release clause, they are open to accepting €71.1 million (£60 million) plus Romelu Lukaku. Osimhen’s estimated transfer value (ETV) is €71.1 million, but Chelsea would need to include Lukaku, whose ETV is €35.2 million, in the deal. Lukaku, who was on loan at AS Roma last season and was not part of Chelsea’s pre-season tour in the USA, is expected to leave Chelsea permanently this summer, making a move to Napoli plausible.
