BREAKING ✅✅: “We Are Not Selling for Less Than £30M”: Arsenal Dismiss Offer for Talented Academy Player as a Joke, Arsenal Fans Celebrate After Gunners Reject Offer for Player Valued at £60M.
West Ham United have been active in the transfer market this summer. Under the guidance of manager Julen Lopetegui and Director of Football Tim Steidten, they aim to strengthen their squad after finishing ninth in the Premier League last season.
The Hammers have already signed Max Kilman, Luis Guilherme, and Wes Foderingham. Their current focus is on acquiring Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson.
According to Sam Dean of the Telegraph, West Ham are interested in the Arsenal winger, who currently earns £100,000 a week.
However, the proposed £15 million fee is seen as insufficient given Nelson’s abilities. Arsenal valued the 24-year-old at £30 million just a few months ago. Despite Nelson’s desire to leave the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal should not accept such a low offer.
Nelson signed a new four-year contract in July 2023, likely after assurances from Mikel Arteta about more playing time. However, with just one Premier League start last season, it’s understandable that he is seeking more opportunities.
West Ham’s £15 million bid is a clear undervaluation. Considering his potential, Nelson should command a fee closer to £60 million in today’s market.
Arsenal must reject this bid, recognizing Nelson’s true worth and not letting a rival Premier League club acquire him for a bargain.
In addition to Nelson, West Ham are also interested in Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Reports suggest that Manchester United are willing to sell the right-back for around £15 million.
Securing both Nelson and Wan-Bissaka for roughly £30 million combined would be a great deal for West Ham.
However, while this might be ideal for West Ham, it is crucial for Arsenal to stand firm and demand a fair price for Nelson. Letting such a talented player leave for only £15 million would be a serious error. West Ham’s offer should be recognized as an opportunistic lowball bid that Arsenal must promptly reject.
