Ajax attacker Brian Brobbey has hinted at a potential move to Arsenal by praising the North London club. The Holland international is under speculation regarding his future after a strong season with the Eredivisie giants. Despite a challenging start to the season, Ajax managed to secure Europa League qualification. Brobbey, 22, has three years left on his contract in Amsterdam, having returned after an unsuccessful stint with RB Leipzig. Manchester United has shown significant interest in Brobbey, with reports indicating that Erik ten Hag has included him on a ‘two-man transfer priority list.’ Brobbey enjoyed a successful period under ten Hag at Ajax before his move to Germany. Arsenal is also rumored to be seeking a new attacker this summer, following struggles in their forward line. Gabriel Jesus has been inconsistent and injury-prone, while Kai Havertz had a rocky start to the season but made key contributions later on. In a recent interview with NOS Jeugdjournaal, Brobbey hinted at openness to a move, stating, “Arsenal, I think that is a very nice club. If you look at that stadium. A very nice club, but that also applies to Manchester United, Barcelona, and Real Madrid. I have a contract until 2027. At the moment I am just with Ajax.” If Arsenal decides to pursue Brobbey, they may face competition from Manchester United. Brobbey has previously expressed interest in joining the Red Devils, saying, “Manchester United,” when asked about his preferred future club. He added, “Erik sent me a message, yes. To congratulate me, and to tell me that he would like to have me in Manchester. But I’m not finished at Ajax yet, I want to show something here first.”
