Arsenal’s asking price for Kieran Tierney has been disclosed as the defender looks to leave this summer.

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to take a significant financial hit on Kieran Tierney as they look to permanently part ways with the defender. The club originally paid a record £25 million to sign Tierney from Celtic in 2019. Despite being a regular for three years, injuries hindered his consistency, and he fell out of favor under Mikel Arteta. Tierney spent the previous season on loan at Real Sociedad, making 20 appearances in La Liga. Although the Spanish club had an option to buy, they chose not to exercise it, leaving Tierney’s future at Arsenal uncertain.

The 27-year-old is expected to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer, with several clubs anticipated to show interest. According to The Sunday Post, Arsenal are willing to accept offers around £10 million, less than half of what they initially paid, marking a significant loss. Celtic are seeking a new left-back to challenge Greg Taylor, and there have been rumors of Tierney’s return. However, the transfer fee and wages might be too high for Celtic, suggesting a loan move might be the only viable option. Premier League clubs Newcastle and Aston Villa have also been linked with Tierney, as reported by Football Scotland.

Currently with the Scotland squad, Tierney is set to travel to Germany for the Euros and is expected to play as a left center-back against the host nation on Friday. Any potential transfer discussions are likely to occur after Scotland’s participation in the tournament. Arsenal sporting director Edu is looking to offload several players this summer, with Thomas Partey, Emile Smith Rowe, and Eddie Nketiah all rumored to be on the move away.
