Marcus Rashford has commented on his future with Manchester United amid reports of a ‘secret meeting’ with Arsenal.
Marcus Rashford has reportedly met with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta recently ahead of the summer transfer window. According to @AFCCAMDEN on X, Arteta and Rashford discussed the possibility of the 26-year-old forward moving to Emirates Stadium. While there is mutual interest, it’s uncertain how willing Manchester United would be to sell Rashford to Arsenal.
Rashford has struggled for form this season, appearing in 43 matches for Manchester United, scoring eight goals and providing five assists. Despite signing a new contract last summer that runs until 2028 and earns him £325,000 a week, any move away from Old Trafford will likely be costly and complicated, especially if it involves a transfer to a rival like Arsenal.
Interestingly, Rashford has previously indicated his desire to remain at Manchester United for his entire career. In a 2020 interview with Goal, he emphasized his deep connection to the club, citing the support he received from United throughout his youth. He said, “For me, I never look beyond Manchester United… In my mind, it wouldn’t sit right for me to be pulling on another shirt.”
While Rashford’s future at United remains uncertain, football.london reports that Arsenal is seeking a versatile forward and has been linked with players like Benjamin Sesko, Alexander Isak, Joshua Zirkzee, and Brian Brobbey.
