John Terry sends a message to Mauricio Pochettino after leaving Chelsea

 

John Terry has expressed his disappointment over Mauricio Pochettino’s unexpected departure from Chelsea. The news was confirmed on Tuesday evening that Pochettino and Chelsea had mutually agreed to part ways after a season of mixed results. Despite a mid-table trajectory for much of the season, Chelsea finished strongly, securing sixth place and European qualification.

Pochettino was anticipated to stay on given Chelsea’s late-season surge, but his departure now means the club is searching for its fifth manager since Todd Boehly’s takeover in May 2022. Former Chelsea captain Terry shared his frustration on Instagram, stating he is ‘gutted’ by Pochettino’s exit and hopes that Chelsea’s transfer activities are paused until a new manager is appointed.

Chelsea are now considering Ipswich Town’s Kieran McKenna, Brentford’s Thomas Frank, and Burnley’s Vincent Kompany as potential replacements.
