The newest update from Fabrizio Romano about a potential attacker will have Chelsea fans excited.
Chelsea fans will be dreaming this summer of an attacking trio of Cole Palmer, Christopher Nkunku, and Michael Olise supporting a new striker, with Victor Osimhen among the names being linked.
How did Michael Olise from Crystal Palace come into the picture? Fabrizio Romano mentioned him in connection with Chelsea last night!
Romano provided the update on his YouTube channel, discussing Olise’s situation. Although the focus was on Manchester United’s interest, he also noted that Chelsea is considering Olise for the summer.
Olise has a release clause of around £60 million, which is reasonable for a player of his quality.
Personally, I think a midfield trio of Nkunku on the left, Palmer in the center, and Olise on the right would be sensational. Chelsea would then just need to bring in a new center forward to compete with Nicolas Jackson to have a dream attack. This summer, they have a real chance to build an almost perfect attacking lineup.
While some believe Chelsea already have too many attackers, I think upgrading from players like Raheem Sterling, Noni Madueke, and Mykhailo Mudryk is necessary for competing at the top. Madueke and Mudryk could remain for squad depth, but I don’t see them as starters who can elevate the team right now.
