CONFIRMED DONE DEAL✅✅: Chelsea have agreed with a major European club to sign a striker valued at £100 million, as Boehly successfully offloads a striker who cost £99 million but did not meet expectations.
Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is being targeted by Chelsea, and the Blues could potentially sign him before the transfer window closes.
Chelsea are exploring the possibility of signing Victor Osimhen on loan, but such a deal will not be easy to finalize.
While Chelsea have yet to resolve their center-forward situation, they have strengthened their defense this summer.
The Blues announced the signing of Filip Jorgensen from Villarreal on Tuesday. The 22-year-old will compete for the goalkeeper position.
Central defender Tosin Adarabioyo has also joined Stamford Bridge, leaving Fulham on a free transfer.
Victor Osimhen’s View on a Chelsea Loan
Acquiring Osimhen on loan with an option to buy could be a smart move for Chelsea.
However, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, it is unlikely to happen.
Romano has stated that Osimhen and his agent are not interested in a loan move to Chelsea this summer.
In a YouTube video, the Italian journalist said: “This loan with buy option is something that the agent and the player don’t want to consider today. What happens tomorrow, I don’t know. I’m not involved in the story, but today, they don’t want to consider a loan.”
For a permanent transfer, Napoli are seeking a minimum of £84 million for Osimhen, which is less than the 25-year-old’s release clause.
Reasons Osimhen is Uninterested in a Loan Move to Chelsea
Without an obligation to buy, a loan move to Chelsea means Osimhen could return to Napoli next summer.
However, Osimhen appears eager to move on from the Italian club, so he is interested in a permanent deal.
The issue is that Chelsea’s owners are unwilling to pay the high fee Napoli is asking for his transfer this summer.
Osimhen is open to joining Chelsea, but several obstacles are currently preventing the deal from happening.
With a month remaining in the transfer window, it is still possible for Osimhen to sign with Chelsea, but many things need to be resolved first.
