BREAKING NEWS✅✅: Arsenal has been advised to raise their initial £30 million bid to £50 million to secure the signing of the world’s top left-back, instead of pursuing Ben Chilwell or Alphonso Davies.
Arsenal has been urged to sign a standout player from the 2024 European Championships this summer. Mikel Arteta’s team has faced frustration in their attempts to secure a new striker during the transfer window.
Their primary target, RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko, chose to stay in Germany and signed a new deal with a release clause active in 2025. Arsenal’s efforts to acquire Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi have also been thwarted, as reports suggest the player prefers a move to Barcelona or Real Madrid.
Despite having a strong defensive record last season, Arsenal may not need to strengthen their defense. However, Fenerbahce and Turkey defender Ferdi Kadioglu has caught attention with his impressive performance at the 2024 European Championship. HITC reported in January that Arsenal was considering a mid-season move for Kadioglu, but no deal materialized.
The initial fee for Kadioglu was around £17 million, but his national team performances have likely increased his value.
Turkish football commentator Fathi Dogan, speaking to Ajansspor, believes Arsenal should act quickly to sign Kadioglu. Dogan stated, “The Arsenal team, which came to follow Ferdi, the best left-back of the tournament, yesterday, should give a report of: Let’s give €50m and buy him immediately.”
Arsenal’s need for a left-back could revive interest in Kadioglu, especially with uncertainty surrounding Oleksandr Zinchenko’s future and Jakub Kiwior being linked to AC Milan.
Kadioglu, who can play on the left side of defense, makes sense for Arsenal after his outstanding tournament for Turkey. Last season, he made 41 appearances for Fenerbahce, scoring three goals. His contract with the club runs until 2026.
