5-YEAR DEAL AGREED: Europe’s most dangerous striker agrees to join Chelsea on a 5-year contract as he is seen in London ahead of the official announcement.
Chelsea are set to sign Besiktas prodigy Semih Kilicsoy following his impressive breakout season, as reported by Aksam. The 18-year-old became a regular starter for Besiktas late last season, scoring 11 goals and providing three assists in the Super Lig.
His stellar performances have drawn Chelsea’s interest, and they are eager to secure his signature this summer. However, Besiktas are demanding a record-breaking transfer fee, exceeding the £25.4 million Bayern paid for Sacha Boey in January.
Chelsea are in ongoing discussions with Besiktas, but negotiating personal terms with Kilicsoy, who is currently representing Turkey at Euro 2024, may be challenging. Kilicsoy has the potential to become a future star, showing versatility in attack. He initially played on the right wing before excelling on the left and as a center-forward.
His form last season resulted in 15 goal contributions, primarily in the second half of the season. Despite being early in his development, Kilicsoy’s exceptional dribbling skills and goal-scoring ability have already made an impact.
While Chelsea see him as a future asset, they may hesitate to pay £25.4 million upfront. Instead, they might propose an initial £15 million deal, with additional payments based on his performance over time.
